It Gets Heavy When Other People Are Pounding On You

Nov 20, 2024
A female with a hammer looking exasperated and frustrated at how heavy life is while overlooking someone on a computer typing away

My insides feel like they are burning up with a nauseating illness.

The hot sweats.

The immediate rush for the bathroom type.

I've come up against a rejection of myself from others.

A clash of inner confidence and confrontation.

You see, my personality type is easily bored and moving on to the next thing.

This can look suspicious to others.

This can wreak havoc on my head when others ask for answers that I'm defensive about answering.

This blog today is a short response out loud.

An acknowledgement of how heavy it gets when other people are pounding on you.

An acknowledgement that it's still okay to go after what you believe in.

Even if it doesn't make sense to those around you.

Even if it is disguised as a distraction.

Even if you want to do a U-turn under the hefty weight of the pounding and crawl back with your tail between your legs.

The heaviness is telling you something.

It's not straightforward or simplistic.

It's likely that it's telling you multiple somethings.

Sit with it.

Go for a walk with it, at least.

Your beliefs will continue to prevail, and you'll pound away at yourself just as much (if not more) than others.

Enjoy the process.
