Episode Twenty-Eight
"I want to leave my mark here, whatever that is. I want someone to say, wow, she went out and she just did it, whatever she wanted to do.

Episode Summary
When I think of the military, it's Forrest Gump type meals with big long tables, cocoa powder meals and carbohydrate heavy density. Cat Corchado proves me wrong. Cat Corchado shares the advantages and disadvantages of being a military kid and then joining the military herself. Tune in as Linda and Cat talk about:
- Military food and the misconceptions people might have
- Going overseas and experiencing many different foods, people and environments
- Frequently moving and carrying that open mindedness with her through adulthood
- Her fondest memories around the world
While moving around might not be everyone’s idea of a great childhood, it can provide wonderful experiences and adventures. Being in the military forever marks your identity and Cat has embraced all the opportunities it provides.
This episode has now been transformed into a chapter of its very own inside the book series Stories with a Sunday Roast. It weaves together the memories that were shared during the podcast conversations with my personal experiences.
Unlike the podcast, the carefully crafted stories and mouth-watering descriptions of roasty meals will transport you to another level as you turn the pages.
