Storybook Memoir
The first memory to fade is the sound of a beloved's voice.
The second is the unique and captivating memories
they have shared with you over the years.
Â
Capture both and cherish them forever.
What is the meaning of an audio memoir?
Throughout the years, I’ve heard phrases like “I would give anything to hear my papa’s laughter again” or “I regret not spending more time listening to relatives’ stories when I was young.”
The way that people speak is uniquely theirs, often with warmth, familiarity, and subtle inflexions. Not to mention their flair and personality.
Are you looking to preserve your ancestral history?
Despite good intentions, recording interviews with loved ones often falls through the cracks amidst daily distractions. Speaking from experience, I know that two of the most difficult conversations I had were with my mum and dad. Every day, I am grateful to continue having my parents with me. However, we are all here for a period, never forever.
Recollections blur and fade, leaving an emptiness where their voice once resounded with love and laughter.
Even when our voices are no longer present, they retain significant power as one of our greatest attributes.
Audio memoirs preserve moments through a combination of voice, words, and visuals that can be inherited for generations.
And the best bit....you don’t need to spend hours staring at a blank page.
Your stories deserve to be shared and heard. Both for you and your family into the future.

A step-by-step guide to understanding how everything comes together.
1. Your Pre-interview Conversation
Deciding to create an audio memoir is a big step! Booking an initial 15-minute conversation allows us to get to know each other and answer any questions you may have.
In this discussion, we can book a longer interview for recording, and I will guide you through the next steps of the process.
2. Gathering Your Information
The next step is an exciting one! You will need to gather at least 20 items, such as photographs, newspaper clippings, keepsakes, or any paper memories you wish to capture in your memoir. This small collection will prompt our discussion and be included in the final product. *Note: we may not use all the items you gather, depending on time and stories shared.
3. Let's Record
Now it’s time to capture the voice of your memoirs.
Interviews are held in person or online and recorded in audio (voice) format online. No need to dress up for camera, just us having a relaxed conversation while you share your memories. I will capture all the good things you share in a respectful manner.
4. Bringing it all together
I will combine the transcript from your audio recording and photographs into a digital storybook at this stage. If necessary, I will contact you for further details or clarification.
Get ready, because this is where the magic truly begins.
5. End Result
You did it! The final product includes a digital copy and hardcover (depending on the package you select) of your storybook and a private podcast of our audio recording, to be treasured as a legacy for years to come.Â
